Djordje Dragovic, translator

Shhhh! I am translating.... Myself into another universe.

I was born in Belgrade, then capital of Yugoslavia, now capital of Serbia, in 1963.  From 1964 until 1974 I've lived in Moscow, then USSR, now Russia (my father worked there).  This explains fact that I have two mother-languages: Serbian and Russian.

From 1974 to 1993 lived in Belgrade, graduated as Eng. of Agriculture by Institute of Agriculture, Belgrade University.

From 1993 to1995  obtained  specialization in Protected Crops, at Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Crete, Greece. Course was held in English (hence my optimum knowledge of it).

From 1996 living in Funchal, Madeira island, Portugal. Married with Portuguese woman, got two sons.  This is how and why I learned Portuguese.

 Thought of the day

Portuguese don't like themselves very much.

This makes them irresistibly likeable!
